  • Sleeping better in midlife

Disrupted sleep is one of the most commonly reported changes in midlife. Night waking and early waking can leave you tired in a way that is easy to blame on yourself.

Small routines can help some women: regular wake times, daylight in the morning, a cooler bedroom, less caffeine later in the day and a gentle wind-down. What works varies from person to person.

If poor sleep is affecting your daily life, it is worth raising with your clinician.
